Guests stays in hotels first quarter of 2018

In the first quarter of 2018 there was a decrease of 9.2 per cent in the number of guests and a small increase of 0.69 per cent in the number of overnights. It means that the average number of overnights per guest has increase from 2.6 days in 2017 to 2.9 days in 2018 at the same period.

The largest decrease has affected mainly to Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq Vest region where the number of guests decrease from 5,432 in 2017 to 3,881 in 2018. That corresponds to the decrease of 28.6 per cent on that region.

 

It is primarily local guests who have stayed at hotels on first quarter (Q1). The decrease among the Greenlandic guests on Q1 was 10.3 per cent in while among the international guests was 6.5 per cent.

Overnight stays in 1^st quarter of 2018

There was a small increase of 0.69 per cent in the number of nights as we compared with the same period in 2017. The largest increase has occurred among the guests of «Germany» and «Rest of Europe», which ended at 1,575 and 1,200 respectively.
